Merraf Abel, MPH, LMFT
Merraf Abel is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and a Provider Lead at Spring Health. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Mind-Body Medicine with a specialization in Mindful Leadership in Healthcare from Saybrook University. Her dissertation is focused on exploring the experiences of leaders with imposter phenomenon and its impact on their leadership style. Merraf received a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Cornell University and obtained both a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Promotion and Education and a Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy (MFT) from Loma Linda University.
Merraf has 13+ years of clinical experience, which includes working at the County of San Bernardino’s Department of Behavioral Health and non-profit organizations with children, transitional age youth, adults, and families as well as providing clinical supervision to trainees and associates.
She maintains a private practice, Abel Minds, and lives in Los Angeles, CA, where she enjoys soaking in the sun while on the beach.
Merraf was born and raised in Washington, DC to Ethiopian parents. When she is not exploring the many vineyards and wineries California has to offer, she is either in DC or traveling to one of the 56 countries on her travel list.
